Marussia Beverages UK to distribute Constellation's spirits

Marussia Beverages UK has announced it has signed an agreement to distribute Constellation Brands’ craft spirits portfolio in the UK.

The import and distribution company is collaborating with Constellation Brands to distribute their craft spirits: The Real McCoy Rum, Casa Noble Tequila and High West American Whiskey in the UK.

Sarah Gandy, head of marketing at Marussia Beverages UK, said: “We have a great network of relationships across the whole of the UK in both the on and off trade as well as superb portfolio of spirits. We are delighted to be working with Constellation Brands’ craft spirits portfolio and incredibly excited to introduce everyone in the UK to The Real McCoy, Casa Noble and High West.”

The Real McCoy Rum is inspired by Bill McCoy, the pioneer rum runner of the prohibition era who in 1920 was the first to fill a boat with alcohol in the Caribbean and head to New York City where he gained notoriety for his floating liquor store three miles off shore. The collection of rums is small batch and single-distilled in a combination of column and pot stills at Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. The range includes three, five and 12-year-old marks aged in heavy-char American oak ex-bourbon barrels.

Casa Noble is a premium 100% blue agave tequila, which is certified organic and Kosher. The range includes the Crystal Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, Joven and Single Barrel Extra Anejo and Reposado tequilas. Jose “Pepe” Hermosillo is Casa Noble’s founder and Maestro Tequilero, and he is known for first trialing a triple-distillation process and French oak ageing.

High West is a distillery and saloon in Park City, Utah. It makes a diverse range of whiskeys from locally-grown mountain grains. The range includes Campfire, a blend of Scotch Malt Whiskey, Bourbon and Straight American Rye; Rendezvous, a Rye Whiskey aged up to 16 years; Double Rye, described as “the spiciest rye in the world”; and American Prairie Reserve, a premium Bourbon Whiskey.
