Yealands Wines gets set to unveil new label designs

Yealands Wines is to unveil new label designs at the New Zealand Annual Trade Tasting event in London on January 15.

The new labels, which are designed to reflect the “stunning location” of Yealands’ Seaview vineyard in the Awatere Valley of Marlborough, are now being rolled out worldwide.

Nina Andrew, general manager for marketing for Yealands, said: “After in-depth consumer research in our key markets, we are thrilled to unveil to the UK trade our new Yealands branding across our whole Yealands range. Inspied by our stunning coastal location, our labels capture the proximity of our vines to the ocean on the edge of the Awatere Valley, Marlborough.”

Harriet Kininmonth, director of buying at UK distributor Entoria&Coe, said: “This is a seriously fantastic evolution of the Yealands brand. They are in tune with the market and commited to being a relevant and innovative player. What they are doing in terms of sustainability is remarkable, and this packaging captures the essence of Yealands perfectly.”

Yealands plans to have a host of new vintages and some debut appearances at the trade tasting this month.

The producer will have its independent and on-trade focused Yealands Single Vineyard range, and the off-trade focused Yealands range, and it will also be showing its limited edition State of Flux Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, both created by chief winemaker Natalie Christensen and matured in concrete eggs.

All Yealands wines are vegan with new vintages registered by the Vegan Society UK.
