Bordeaux Day gets a new November date for 2020

Bordeaux Day now has a new date for 2020.

The CIVB (Bordeaux Wine Council) has decided Bordeaux Day, which was originally scheduled for May, will now take place on November 4, at Camden House, London NW1 (from 11am to 7pm).

Fiona Juby, UK marketing consultant for the CIVB, said: “The safety of our staff, guests and exhibitors is our number one priority. Given the current climate, we felt it was appropriate to push the day back to November. On the day, we will ensure the government guidelines at the time are strictly adhered to whilst delivering an informative and engaging tasting that everyone can enjoy.”

The programme remains unchanged and visitors will have the chance to rediscover the modernity, quality and diversity of Bordeaux wines in dedicated tasting zones.

In addition to the Bordeaux Hot 50, a carefully curated collection of wines selected to appeal to the modern consumer, visitors will be able to experience Bordeaux Undiscovered, a unique showcase of superb wines from producers seeking representation in the UK, several of whom will be present to talk guests through their portfolio. Visitors will also be invited to taste the newest wines from leading UK agents at BDXchange.

The CIVB will be hosting a series of seminars held throughout the day, offering guests a full update on Bordeaux. This will include the Bordeaux Briefing, detailing the latest news and statistics from Bordeaux from the Vice President of the CIVB, Allan Sichel and a presentation and panel discussion that will focus on What Sustainability means to Bordeaux, hosted by Marie-Catherine Dufour, Technical Director of the Bordeaux Wine Council.
